Activity Center Security/Building Monitor
The position will be responsible for assisting the Highland Activity Center Director with keeping Activity Center Safe and Secure during rentals. Paid & Unpaid Volunteer Opportunities:

Election Worker
In order to successfully run our elections, Highland hires a staff of paid workers to work at the polls. Precinct inspectors are people who are paid to assist voters at the polls on Election Day.  A precinct inspector must be a registered voter of the State. They cannot be a challenger, candidate, member of a candidate's immediate family, or a member of the local Board of Canvassers. Anyone convicted of a felony or an election crime may not serve. Paid training is provided. Please contact the Clerk's Office at 248-887-3791 x 5 with any questions you have.

There are many Volunteer opportunities in the Township. Some of these positions are unpaid and others pay stipend. Following is a list of boards, committees and organizations looking for volunteers:
Board of Review- paid by the hour approximately 5 state required meetings per year
Highland Downtown Development Authority- unpaid monthly board meetings and projects
Planning Commission- paid 2 meetings per month
Zoning Board of Appeals- paid 2 meetings per month Garden Club- become a member unpaid meetings and projects
Highland Activity Center- unpaid assist with activities
