Highland Township contracts with Priority Waste as the designated waste hauler of trash, recycling, yard waste, and bulk item collection in Highland Township. 

Your trash/recycle/compost MUST be bagged and at the road before 6:30am  on day of pick up!

If you do not have your trash, recycle (and compost during the season) out when the truck comes by, they will not come back out.  Your items will be picked up on our next service day.

Trash collection is funded through a special assessment, which is billed directly through your property tax bill. This entitles residents to regular trash collection, subject to the following conditions:

• Items for collection must be placed at the curb by 6:300 a.m. on your schedule trash pickup day. If it seems that the trash is collected at your house at a certain time of the day, please still have it out by 6:30 am on  your scheduled day, as routes and times are subject to change. 
• Your trash MUST be placed in garbage bags before placing in a watertight garbage container with handles.
• You may also use 30 gallon trash bags.
• A 32 gallon trash can must not weigh more than 50 pounds and a trash cart no more than 125 pounds.
