A public hearing was held Thursday, April 6, 2017 to consider an application for a Special Use Permit to operate a compost transfer at 784 N. Milford Road.  This proposal would allow the applicant to accept land waste and other compostable materials at his existing site (where he operates a concrete landscaping business) and move the materials out to a farm where the materials would be processed and refined for use in landscaping and farming.  Please click here to view the application materials.

Please note that whereas the ordinance section mentions garbage incineration, only a compost transfer facility is requested.  A Special Use Permit would be tailored specifically to limit the applicant/permittee to specific activities as proposed.  The draft permit will be considered by the Planning Commission at their April 20, 2017 meeting at 7:30 p.m.
